Get to Know Buta Film

Buta Film is a dynamic cinema production company based in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Our Story

A creative home for filmmakers

Established in 2005 by Ilgar Najaf, Buta Film has been a creative hub, bringing together young filmmakers. Our focus primarily revolves around documentary and short films, with a touch of low-budget feature films.

In 2011, we achieved a significant milestone by producing our first feature film for the big screen, titled Buta. This remarkable film earned us the prestigious Asian Pacific Screen Award for Best Children’s Feature Film.
